It's time to reflect on another weekend that's gone by. This past weekend, I went to North Wales. I'm not sure what I was expecting from the trip, but I'm definitely glad that I went. It's up there next to Ireland with most beautiful places I've ever seen.
Bright and early on Friday morning, we left the manor and made our way toward Chester in the county Cheshire. This made me super excited, since I've decided that Cheshire is my home away from home. I took lots of pictures of the county. I guess I like it so much because it reminds me of actual home.
When, we got to Chester, Lauren and I went shopping at Jack Wills, and I bought the comfiest sweater (jumper) ever! We saw the second most photographed clock tower in the world (second to Big Ben of course), got a panini, and hopped back on the bus.
Soon, we were in Llandudno, Wales. Our hotel was called the Ambassador. We had a perfect view of the beach from our room.
We went down to the beach after getting settled in. We walked on the pier and saw a double rainbow! ("What does this mean?")
We found a place called Harvey's New York Bar and Grill. We both ordered lemonade and were shocked when they brought sprite with a lemon slice in it to the table. Is that what they think we think lemonade is? It was really funny. I ordered popcorn shrimp and fries, and Lauren got mozzarella sticks.
The rest of Friday was just resting. I really enjoyed the North Wales weekend because it was super relaxing and chill compared to the other weekends.
On Saturday morning, we got up and went to breakfast. After we ate, wee had to get on the bus to go to the Caernarfon castle. The castle was super cool, and the views were incredible from the top!
After being in Caernarfon for a while, we headed to Llanberis, which is a tiny town in the valley of Snowdonia, the tallest mountain in Wales. It was beautiful there. Fall is definitely the time to visit these places since all of the leaves are changing. It makes for some beautiful pictures.
After being there, we headed back to the hotel. We went to eat at a Chinese restaurant, and then went back to the hotel to rest. I watched X Factor Live and was excited about it!
The last day of our trip, we ate breakfast, checked out, and got on the bus. We went to Swallow Falls and small scenic town called Betws y Coed.
We drove back to Harlaxton, passing through Cheshire of course.
This weekend was so relaxing, and I recommend visiting North Wales. It was probably the trip that I was least excited about at the beginning of the semester, but it turned out to be so beautiful!
Until next adventure,
Love always, Alexandria
